We would like to warmly invite you to our Figure skating summer camps July 2026 in Peurunka, in Central Finland. For the athletes, we are offering different practice packages for different levels.

We have following groups:

  1. International Seniors/Juniors (minimum all triple jumps with/or without 3 A)

  2. Junior / Senior (minimum 2 A & 1-3 triple jumps)

  3. Junior B / Senior B (double jumps & working on 2 A & triple jumps or just having 2A)
  4. Intermediate novice / Advanced novice (Debytantit / SM-Noviisit) until 15 years (minimum all double jumps and working on 2 A & triple jumps or having 2 A and some triple jumps)
  5. Basic Novice A / Novice B (Silmut A / Noviisit) (double jumps & working on 2 A & triple jumps)
  6. Basic Novice B /Novice C (minimum 1 A) Chicks /(Silmut B/Minit/Tähtidebytanti/Tähtinoviisit) (single jumps incl. axel and practicing /or including double jumps)
  7. Pre-chicks (Tintit) until age of 8 years (only single jumps and/or including single axel and practicing double jumps)
  8. Late starters (Taitajat ei Axel/ Taitajat Axel) group 9-18 years (only single jumps and/or including single axel and practicing double jumps)
  9. Development Group 4-7 years old kids (skating school level and do NOT need support on the ice, practicing basic skating, basic positions, starting to do the first jumps and spins.)

Practice

Duration & amount of the practice per week

Group 1 – 6:

  • Technique on ice, includes steps and spins (10 x 50 min.)
  • Skating Skills / Expression (5 x 50 min.)
  • Dancing / ballet / dance workout (4 x 50 min.)
  • Athletics (5 x 50 min.)
  • Body recovery / Stretching / Yoga (2 x 50 min.)

Group 7-8:

  • Technique on ice, includes steps and spins (11 x 50 min.)
  • Dancing / ballet / dance workout (4 x 50 min.)
  • Athletics (5 x 50 min.)

Group 9:

  • Technique on ice, includes steps and spins (9 x 50 min.)
  • Athletics (6 x 50 min.)

The size of the groups for technique training on ice, will be max. 6 athletes per coach. The minimum size of each group is 4. If there are fewer than 4 entries, we can not offer that group for that week(s).

Group 1 -6:

  • 1 Week: 595,00€
  • 2 Weeks: 1140,00€
  • 3 Weeks: 1630,00€
  • 4 Weeks: 2120,00€

Group 7-8:

  • 1 Week: 445,00€
  • 2 Weeks: 850,00€
  • 3 Weeks: 1215,00€
  • 4 Weeks: 1580,00€

Group 9:

  • 1 Week: 300,00€
  • 2 Weeks: 580,00€
  • 3 Weeks: 850,00€
  • 4 Weeks: 1120,00€

The prices include 100€ registration fee (non-refundable) which will be charged directly after the entry form has been sent.

In addition, we are offering the following:

Extra offers:

  • Private Coaching on ice (You can book this during the camp, if it is still available! Better to book it in advanced.) (50 min./ The price depends on the coach (60,00€ – 120,00€) including the ice patch).

  • There is off-ice harness and rotation practice bookable. More information you will find at the registration form.

  • Extra Off-Ice at the group (Stretching, Body recover etc.) (50 min./ 10,00 €)

Choreography is possible with Pipsa Tuppela (from Beginners to intermediate Novice) and Katia (Ekaterina) Ivleva Guarise (all levels)

Important information

Registration and billing

The 100€ registration fee is non-refundable without exception. By paying the registration fee the registration is confirmed. The registration fee will be reduced from the total camp price. The final camp invoice will be sent in the beginning of March 2026 . If the registration has been done after 01.03.2026 the camp invoice including the registration fee will be sent immediately after the registration. IF THE CAMP INVOICE IS NOT paid before THE PAYMENT DEADLINE, THE ORGANIZER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO GIVE THE PLACE TO NEXT SKATER.

Accommodation

Accommodation and meals are not included in the camp price and they can be booked separately.

Insurance

All athletes must purchase health insurance (in the case you get injured or ill) for the camp. In addition, we recommend acquiring travel insurance as well which would cover the costs in case of cancellation due to injury or illness. Please contact your own insurance companies.

Responsibility

The organizer cannot be held responsibleor liable for you or your health on or off the ice. All skaters who are under the age of 18 years should travel with a parent or guardian. For emergency cases, we have a doctor, MD-PhD Valtter Virtanen, in the camp. He will take care of the first aid if something happens to you during the practice sessions and will bring you to the closest hospital, if necessary.

Cancellation Policy:

  1. The 100€ registration fee is non-refundable in any cases.
  2. In case of cancellation, a written form is required.
  3. We will charge 50% of the booking when the written cancellation is done 01.04. – 30.04.2026. After 01.05.2026 we will charge 100% of the booking.
  4. We will not re-fund your payments if you get injured or sick, for this use your travel or extra health insurance .
  5. For private coaching we will charge 100% of the booked patch and coaching fee if the cancellation occurs later than 48 hours before the planed session.
  6. Once the camp has started, there are no refunds possible anymore (Participants who are sent home due inapropriate behavior, or leaving the camp because of illness or other personal reasons, are not eligible for a refund).

If you have allergies or medical conditions, please let us know. Your data will be treated confidentially.

There is also a possibility to book massage and physiotherapy in the camp. Please contact us directly.

How to get to Peurunka?

  • By car
  • By bus until Jyväskylä and then with the Bus 41 / or Taxi to Peurunka
  • By train until Jyväskylä train station and then with the Bus 41 or Taxi to Peurunka
  • By plane to Helsinki Airport (car or train to Jyväskylä and then with the Bus 41) or Jyväskylä Airport (just 20 min. by car or taxi away from Peurunka)
  • The drive from Helsinki airport to Peurunka takes around 3 hours by car.

Alina Mayer-Virtanen

Figure Skating coach

Alina Mayer-Virtanen was skating by herself for 24 years and represented Germany. The last few years of her skating career she skated at the international level in single skating. Alina has been coaching single skating since 2013 in Oberstdorf-Germany and in Finland since 2017 as well. She is also teaching Pair skating. For the season 2025 & 2026 Alina is one of the responsible coaches for the area Middle-Finland and East Finland. Some of her athletes take part in the European, Junior Grand Prix, Junior Worlds, Grand Prix and World Championships. Kyrolo Marsak, one of her main students, got the olympic spot for Ukraine. If everything works well, both will go (and Ukraine will decide to send them) to the Olympics 2026 in Milano.

She speaks German, English and a bit of Finnish. 😉

Brian Joubert

Figure Skating coach

Brian Joubert – World Champion Figure Skater

Brian Joubert (just available 28.06.-03.07.26), born in Poitiers, France in 1984, is one of the most successful French figure skaters of modern times. Known for his powerful jumps and competitive spirit, he became World Champion in 2007 and won three European titles (2004, 2007, 2009). Over his career, he collected numerous medals at World and European Championships, inspiring a generation of skaters with his determination and technical mastery.

After retiring in 2014, Joubert remained active in the skating world as a coach and performer, sharing his experience and passion with young athletes. His legacy continues to motivate skaters worldwide to combine strength, discipline, and artistry on the ice.

He speaks French and English.

Raimo Reinsalu

Figure Skating coach

Raimo (just available 28.06-10.07.26) is an ISU Technical Specialist. He has been coaching at Latvia’s largest skating club, “Kristal Ice,” since 2010.

Some of the top achievements of his skaters include:

  • Bronze at the Junior Grand Prix (JGP)
  • 11th place in women’s singles at the European Championships (EC)
  • 14th place in men’s singles at the EC
  • 4th place in women’s singles at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF)
  • Numerous Latvian national champions

Raimo has been working at the international level for over 15 years, participating in various camps, including the renowned #volvoskatingcamp, which attracts international skaters throughout the season.

He speaks English, Estonian, Russian and Finnish.

Diana Lapierre

Figure Skating coach


Diana (just available 05.07-16.07.26) is an American figure skating coach with international coaching experience in the U.S., U.K., Hong Kong, Germany, and Poland. She currently coaches in Warsaw, Poland and on the VSA online figure skating platform. She has fulfilled the 2025/26 United States Figure Skating Coach Compliance and holds a British Ice Skating Level 2 Coach Certification. Diana is the livestream broadcast commentator for the ISU Challenger Series Warsaw Cup, the largest Senior event in Poland. She has attended numerous coaching conferences and skating seminars in the USA, UK, Hong Kong and Poland and continues to be active in continuing coaches education.

Diana began coaching in the USA where she was mentored by some of the best coaches in the country and completed an apprenticeship with Priscilla Hill, coach to three-time US National Champion Johnny Weir. Prior to coaching, she was on tour with Disney on Ice, Cypress Gardens and Ice Capades.

Diana specialises in singles skating and loves teaching the technical aspects of all the elements, particularly jumps and spins, how to use edges, figure skating theory and the physics of skating.

Her coaching philosophy is: Strive to focus not just on skill development excellence but also on life skills like adaptability, resilience, mental agility and great sportsmanship.

Diana speaks English and Spanish.

Katia (Ekaterina) Ivleva Guarise

Figure Skating coach/ dance teacher /choreographer

Ekaterina (just from 05.07 – 10.07.26) was a competitive skater until the age of 17 then she started her career in ice shows working for many years in the UK and worldwide. She started her coaching career in Italy in 2013 becoming 2 Level National Coach. Ekaterina works in Merano, Italy with skaters of Italian National team who competes internationally at Senior and Junior level.

Ekaterina started her career as a choreographer since she was 15 years old choreographing various show numbers on and off ice and programs for little skaters.

In 2007 she became Hip Hop and modern jazz teacher.

Since 2014 she is creating programs for numerous skaters from including Valtter Virtanen, Kyrolo Marsak and many more.

Ekaterina speaks Italian, English, German, Spanish and Russian.

Pipsa Tuppela

Choreographer and dance teacher

She (just from 22.07 – 26.07.26) is a dance teacher who graduated as Master of Arts at the Theatre School of Helsinki in 2017. She is working with figure skaters in different clubs around Finland, on- and off ice, sharing her passion for music and movement after her own figure skating hobby turned into professional dancing career. In her dance lessons focus is on holistic teaching methods and finding positive pedagogy ways to bring the best out of every athlete. She is mainly doing choreographies for Beginner until intermediate novice.

Of course you can book her like every coach in our camp for privat sessions.

Pipsa speaks Finnish, Swedish and English.

Valtter Virtanen

Team Doctor and Allrounder

Valtter has participated in several European and World Championships in single skating. Valtter works part-time as a doctor in Terveystalo Jyväskylä. But his main focus is still on figure skating. He is also the team doctor of JYP ice hockey team.

Valtter Virtanen will support the team as well.

Valtter speaks Finnish, English, German and Swedish.

Marttaleena Nikkari

Dance teacher

Marttaleena (just available from 28.06. – 03.07.26) is a professional dancer who graduated from the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance in 2025 majoring in choreography, ballet, and contemparary/modern techniques. In 2020 she become a graduate yoga teacher from the Yoga Institute of Sydney after years of practice.

As a dancer and choreographer, she has been working in several productions from stage to film in Europe and Austrialia, and in recent years she has explored ice.

Marttaleena speaks, Finnish, English and a little bit of German.

Krista Saarela

Dance teacher

Krista (just available from 13.06. – 16.07.26) is a dance teacher who has been teaching and coaching dancers all over Finland for 20 years. She teaches show, contemporary, and jazz dance, among other styles, and choreographs many competition pieces. She currently works in the Helsinki metropolitan area.

Krista speaks Finnish and English.

Isabella Piippo

Figure skating coach

Isabella has competed in figure skating over ten years. She is the assistant coach of Alina Mayer-Virtanen at Peurunka Skating Academy Laukaa. She also coached earlier during her own career. She is since over 3 years a consistent part of Team MayerVirtanen camps.

Isabella speaks Finnish and English

Petra Palmio

Figure skating coach

Petra is part of the coaching team at Peurunka Skating Club Laukaa. She competed at an international level for Finland in the category senior Ladies. She is Bachelor of sports pedagogy and studying master in sports pedagogy at the University of Jyväskylä at the moment.

Petra speaks, Finnish and English.
